This beautiful momma came to our Sacramento Studio for her maternity boudoir session. This was the second time we got to work with this beautiful babe!! Isn’t she gorgeous!! I absolutely swoon over glowing mommas. I just think pregnancy curves are absolutely stunning!
For maternity boudoir sessions we recommend having a session at 27-32 weeks pregnant. This gives the mom a gorgeous round belly, pregnancy glow, and at this point she is still feeling pretty good. Timing is very important for maternity sessions!! We’ve had women book maternity sessions as soon as they know they’re pregnant to guarantee the perfect timing.
Other tips we suggest for expecting moms is to stretch prior to the session. Nothing too strenuous, just stretch the back and hips to loosen up a bit. We modify all of the poses so that they are safe for expecting moms. We also recommend drinking a lot of water leading up to the session. This will help with glowing skin! And don’t worry, our studio is complete with a private dressing room for you to enjoy! It’s filled with snacks, a couch and lot’s of wardrobe ideas with a bathroom next door. We get it. Drinking lots of water will cause any maternity client to use the bathroom plenty of times during the session which is fine with us!
Ms. T let me dress her in gorgeous robes from the Client Closet (which also look gorgeous on women who are not pregnant too!). She is expecting a baby girl, so the blush satin sheets were the perfect addition to her session. Her looks included our white lace robe, gorgeous full red gown, the Angel Wings, and of course nudes. For maternity boudoir sessions when we do nudes, the overall look is more classic, timeless, beautiful. We are not going for overly sexy, so showing off her gorgeous pregnancy curves was the perfect look.
